History remembers most legendary explorers for what they discovered, documented, and mapped, not for what they might have stumbled across on their wanderings.
But John Colter’s name endures for precisely that reason: He might have been the first white man to travel through the Jackson Hole valley and the steaming, bubbling, erupting landscape that is now Yellowstone National Park.
The Colter Suite can accommodate 6-8. 2 plush pillow-top queen beds in the main room and a very nice day bed (with an additional pull out mattress)in a separate area with loads of space. Ample seating with a couch, recliner and 2 comfy chairs. This room has excellent views of the mountains and has a fully equipped kitchenette with range, microwave and refrigerator, along with a nice bathroom area. This is a main floor room, on the west side of the lodge building. Very spacious and ideal for families or small groups.
